Therein lies the key - don't start until after the day's work is done (hopefully after 6) :sunglasses:

I do not drink on days I go running. I don't run much anymore...

I suggest you start drinking on gym days. The best tasting beer is the one after a hard workout. Personally, my rule is "no workout, no beer." Of course there are certain exceptions like off days and vacations

I might cap off a weeknight with 2-4 beers, depending on what time I have to be up the next day. Right now I'm a college senior with two classes (earliest class is noon). I'm substitute teaching on the days I don't have class, but since that's not an everyday job, I have some weeknights where I can stay up as late as I want and drink as much as I want; those are the weeknights I might push it up to 4-5 beers and stay up until 1 to 2 in the morning. But still, a "regular" weeknight where I have to be up at 6:30 or 7:00 in the morning consists of me having a couple of beers. I just try to have my last one downed by 9:00.

But once I graduate, get married, and have a real job and stuff, I'm going to try and make it one beer on weeknights right before bed. I'm not making any promises, though.

Saturdays and Sundays are spent with the fiancee at her parents' house, where I do my homebrewing and we have our recently completed keezer. So on Saturdays I usually lose count of how many I've had by 7 or 8 o'clock. When you can just walk over to the keezer, pull the tab, and re-fill your glass...it's almost impossible to stop drinking.

I rarely have more than one beer at a time, regardless of what day it is, and I don't enjoy drunkenness (up to the "warm and fuzzy" point is fine but when it hits "dizzy and sleepy"... not for me), so what day it is doesn't really have much of an impact on how much I drink.

When I do, usually it's either with dinner (especially if I don't have to go to work afterward, or if I come in later than usual) or later at night. This past week, I've had one (usually) or two (today and one day earlier this week) every day, with the exception of yesterday when I didn't have any at all. If I go out to eat at a place that serves beer, especially if they have something on tap that I haven't tried before, I'll probably have one or two... but I don't eat out very often, so that's more of a special occasion sort of thing.

About the only consideration is "will I need to drive anywhere within the next hour or two?", and if I will I probably won't have more than one low-ABV beer (or two with food) or one with a little higher ABV at the most... and even that depends on just how soon I'll need to be driving.

I have also recently found out (as in, today... heh) that "you can only have a beer tonight if you wash the dishes" is a good motivator for finally getting that pile of dishes washed. XD

Due to cost, calories, and not being in my early twenties anymore (don't bounce back as well in the morning if I had one too many), I keep my consumption restricted to weekends. The upside is the beer tastes that much better.

Since I'm not longer working, when ever life allows it. Once back in the workforce ( Summer? ). I'm sure it will be less, so far this college shit has just made me drink more...

I drink 1 beer a month maybe, I need to watch my figure and I have to get up 7:30 AM on weekdays! I have cats and a dog and have gotten older and figured out my family is more important than drinking beer. Plus my GF has an issue with me drinking and I'm completely ***** whipped.

Just kidding, I drink everyday and all day most weekends.

Now that I think about it, I drink more in week days. Tasting in the brewery and recording the web cast is a lot of beer on monday and tuesday.

I don't work on Fridays, so for me it's TGIThursday (evening) usually no more than 2 beers an evening through Sunday. Only drink during the week if I'm out for dinner, and then only one.

I'm trying to diet and part of that is limiting beer consumption (booo!). So unless there's a special reason like family or friends joining us during the week for a drink, I abstain from drinking during the week and wait for my weekend to have some.

On the bright side, beer tastes better when you don't have it everyday. Also I've gone from being able to run 1 mile to 4.5 within a month!

I love this answer. I crave beer all week long, but when the weekend comes it tastes so much better after abstaining for 4-5 days.

I drink whenever I feel like drinking. If I feel like drinking on a weekday, I never let it get past more than 2 or 3. If I feel like drinking on the weekend, I don't put a cap on how many

Pretty much, so between that and beer, weekends rock! I don't drink during the week except for sometimes having one when I grill for dinner and of course, when on vacation anything goes. Personally I like to stay completely sober on work nights. I do, however, like to have a few on Sundays during the day, so...huh.

I am a big guy who can handle his alcohol easily ( no bragging here, but just enough so that I can drink fairly regularly without much issue ) but I also know when to stop. I also don't drive while drinking ever, and plan around that. Since most of my friends are craft-heads, if I go out to dinner or somewhere else, I usually have the good stuff. So I get a ride...and my friends are happy I came long, as I am that they did...tight circle and it's fun...no hassles...

Doesn't matter. Any time. Breakfast, lunch or dinner. Weekend or weekday. Happy hours/late night happy hours. Great prices on growlers. Whenever I feel like it. It's so plentiful here, they've put bars in coffee shops, laundromats, bike shops, gas stations and everything inbetween.

I never drink so much that it impacts how I feel the following day. Admittedly, though, I do drink more on any given Saturday or Sunday than any other day throughout the week. No work on the weekends, so I can start early and keep on chuggin' (beer pun, heh).
