I like to drink my special Beers with My buddy whom appreciates them i may not have any Westys but the fancy ones I get such as My Miles Davis Bitches Brew get shared with him when he is on my side of town.

 

Thinking Flora Satsuma for Thanksgiving and maybe Double Barrel Damon for Christmas.

 

drink them dont look at them as most beers will fade over time. As cosmicevan says collect glassware and drink beer. I drank a bcbvs tonight already and now drinking a fou foune solo and watching Turbo with the kids. Crazy times here in Indiana.

 

I've drank bottles of Cantillon because it was a Tuesday. If I'm in the mood for a good beer, I drink it. After all that is what I buy it for.

 

Based on the thread title, I thought this was about whales..no whales here.

Shit, I may drink a KH tonight just because of this thread. Opened a Prairie Bomb yesterday because I wanted a beer and bomb sounded well bomb..

For me it is special occasions and with my tasting group. I rarely open something awesome by myself.

 

I saved a Parabola for my engagement, and I'm lucky enough to have a woman who appreciated it as much as me. It was only 8 months old and, all things being equal, I would have aged it a couple years. However, I felt if there was a time to down a whale, this was it.

 

Special occasions like Thursdays

 

The Wales always come out at the monthly poker game and the really big ones are usually slayed at a bottle share.

Big beers, like anything over 13-15%, I prefer to share with someone others, as I don't usually drink a 22 or 750 of something that big alone, my wife doesn't like dark brews, so I can't share them with her.

Certain beers like my 2011 Black Magick and k13, among a couple others, I am planning to split with my buddy back east when we meet up next.

 

I line up my whalez on the counter and have them stare at, mock and tease my non-whalez until they cry or their caps pop off.

 

Anytime so long as I know I'll enjoy it. I.e. - not while waiting in line in the heat in a parking lot at 11am before a bottle release.

 

KBS does not equal whale...
