I’ll be heading to Florida from Chicago this weekend and coming back the following weekend. I may be able to make a quick stop at a store near the freeway to grab some beers to go. Anyone have some recommendations? Convenience is key for me, as I’ve got the family and our puppy traveling with me.

I would take recommendations for breweries that are close to the freeway as well but those could be tougher for me to get to.

If you are traveling Indy/Cincy/75S, you can stop at Country Boy - Georgetown, it's an easy on/off stop, and there's food, so your whole family is allowed entry.

Thanks, but looks like that isn’t on the route. We head down 65S through Louisville/Nashville.

Both Bearded Iris (brewery) and Craft Brewed (bottle shop) are about five minutes from I-65 in Nashville, albeit at different exits. Smith & Lentz (brewery) is even closer, but will have fewer to-go options.

Didn’t end up making it anywhere. Turns out I underestimated the variables of traveling with kids and a dog from IL to FL.

I would argue that the EASIEST brewery to get to off of 65 would be the Tailgate off of Demonbreun. Then New Heights or Tennessee Brew Works. But man, the 2nd and 4th street exit and on-ramp there is horrendous. Next time, with dog and kids, Tennessee Brew Works.
