Driving through SD during this pandemic

Masks aren't off-topic anywhere, good question and observations on that. I went to several stores yesterday and 80%+ of the people were wearing masks, most of them properly. Drives me nuts when people have their noses out of their masks - completely pointless to wear a mask that way.

 

I typically visit my group of friends in Sioux Falls over Labor Day for a long weekend, but I'll be skipping it this year out of abundance of caution. I look forward to when to this this pandemic is curtailed enough to visit the SF establishments you and my friends keep mentioning.

 

I've got to thank you all who have contributed to this thread. With your help, and recommendations, I just had a total blast yesterday in South Dakota, escaping Minnesota.

Started off in Brookings and a stop at Eponymous, which was damn good, and I highly recommend them. The next, and sadly final stop, was at Remedy. They were also damn amazing.

I'll be headed back to South Dakota next month, and start in Brookings again, because they're doing a BA bottle release in about a month. The only question is if I'll stop at Remedy, or go somewhere in Sioux Falls, before the too long drive back to central MN.

 

Grab a downtown hotel room for the night & visit several of the city's breweries/tap-houses!!

That's unfortunate, (you're working too hard). So many great places popping up in SF!

If you get a chance, check out Bank Brewing Company on the border in Hendricks MN. Decent beer & a cool taproom in the town's old bank.
