would it be safe or smart to drive from Montreal to VT (HF) on Friday? I know there is snow on the ground but being that HF is in the sticks are the roads okay.

I know locals do it so as long as it doesn't snow too much you should be fine. I've sadly never been so can't comment on personal experience :slight_frown:

The roads should be fine. I live about an hours south of HF. Roads are clear.

If you're going to do that, make sure you stop at Marché du Village in Ange-Gardien. It's one of the best beer stores in Quebec and you're going to drive right by it on highway 10.

Roads will-be fine. Keep I mind alcohol limits at the boarder

I personally went during a period of snow covered roads a few Januarys ago and was fine with my regular car, even getting up the first hill from the highway. From reading past experiences during the deep freeze or total thaw you are fine, the sketchier drive is when there is an unseasonably warm period during the winter or freezing conditions in the spring.
