After spending a few days in Boston, will be in NYC (staying on W 31st near Empire state building) next Monday night- Thursday morning. Then heading to Atlantic City Thursday night to stay on the boardwalk and spending Friday in DC (staying just east of the national mall).

Thinking of trying to hit OH, Threes, Kane, Carton. Any must-sees I'm missing?

Any brewery/bottle shop recommendations are greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

Thats a pretty great list and should be easy to hit all of them without going too far out of your way. I would just check tap room times for early in the week. Threes is basically a regular bar so that should be open normal hours but Other Half I believe is closed Mondays and only open at night other weeknights. Might make sense to go to Threes for a late lunch and then hop over to Other Half since they are relatively close.

Think Kane and Carton are open later in the day during the week as well. FYI both places are good about updating what is available on Facebook.

Also, are you the Kipp Adams from 247?

Thanks. I visited OH and Threes in December but am returning with my wife (and more importantly my car instead of just a suitcase) Bought OH Rum BA We've Been out here in orbit and Threes Eternal Return: Apricot last time. Just opened the Apricot and it was great.

    And yes that's me.

On I-95 at the MD/DE border is State Line Liquors, a must stop. Google it and you can get off the last exit in DE, and skip a toll, then get back on 95 at the first exit in MD. Plus there is a bathroom there so it's a good rest stop. Sign up for their mailing list and you get some nice discounts.

In DC, east of the mall, you can get to Blue Jacket fairly easily. Some good beers and some misses, but it's an amazing place. Beer store that should be easiest for you is Craft Beer Cellars or Schneider's of Capitol Hill.

Adding State line to my itinerary now. And my place is only 3/4 mile north of Bluejacket.

Was trying to decide between eating there or Pizza Paradiso.

Tough call, they are very different places and atmospheres. Blue Jacket is pretty grand, and really visually stunning with the brewery starting on the 3rd floor and working it's way down to the ground floor and you can see it all from the bar. The food is very good, a little pricey overall.

Paradiso on the other hand is tiny, and homey with damn good food and beer selection. You can't go wrong either way.

Bringing up some Creature Comforts/7venth Sun Southerly Love, Creature Comforts Koko Buni, Double Koko Buni, Tropicalia, Wicked Weed Dark Age, Burial Donut Skillet, Prairie Coffee Noir, Pirate Noir, Birthday Bomb, Christmas Bomb, Pirate Bomb, Cigar City Raspberry Halo, and Cigar City Vanilla Hazelnut Marshal Zhukov if anyone wants to meet up at one of these breweries and trade some local goodies that I may have missed.

Sounds like you are more interested in take aways rather than drinking on the trip, but if you're staying by the Empire State Building, then Ginger Man and Rattle N Hum are two bars to check out.

Oh no it's definitely both! Was going to try Lupulo and those two. Just looked those two up and only .2 and .4 miles away. Locked them in.

Haymaker would be worth checking out in that area as well. A little further west near MSG. Think they usually have some stuff from Grimm on tap, which can be very difficult to find to buy packaged.

If you don't already know, you can check beermenus for their lists to narrow things down if desired.

    Hi Kipp,

Fellow Georgian (and Dawgs247 subscriber) here. I was in NYC over the weekend and would recommend Fools Gold. They had some great beers on tap and offer flights. On Friday they had some Hill Farmstead and Maine Beer Co stuff along with plenty of NY beers (and Sweetwater if you're homesick). You can hop off at Broadway-Lafayette and walk a couple of blocks to it and WF Bowery is in between so makes a nice side stop to pick up bottles/cans. I think there's another stop even closer if you're on the F to/from Other Half. Prince street pizza was legit for a slice not far from there too.

Other Half was amazing. Definitely don't miss that one.

If you are doing Threes and OH in Brooklyn, you might want to hit Interboro and Greenpoint as well. Probably both will have can available.

Ha, I just had a small suitcase...had to settle for a 4 pack of DDH Broccoli and a couple of singles to bring back. Hopefully they're still doing growler fills of Broccoli when you're there, it's fantastic.

Court Street Grocers about 2 blocks from OH had some solid sandwiches.

The shop at Threes had some Grimm bottles as of Saturday night and the SFY there was nice too.

My car is full. I've got easily 100 bottles/ cans already. 10 breweries left.
