On tap at Old Chicago (on draft) ONLY.
(I don't work for Old Chicago or anything)
This beer is not currently available in either of the Dry Dock taprooms or available in bottles.
I thought it was actually quite nice, I rated it 4/5 on Untappd. Smells like a peanut butter cup, smooth creamy body with some sweetness but not overly so. Finishes chocolate and hop bitterness. Just a heads up if anyone has an OC nearby, would like to hear what other people think. It's not even in the BA database.

I've had 3-4 PB beers so far, IMO this is easily the best one I've tried. If you tried it, what do you think?

They had it at South Dock a few weeks ago. It's good, but nothing I rushed back for more of. My wife enjoyed it more than I did, though. Beers from the Dock are always a safe purchase.
The best PB beer I've ever had was probably the one from Blue Moon at GABF 2-3 years ago.

Haven't had this one but did drink a Nukin' Futz from Track 7 Brewing over the weekend. "This creamy and crazy ale takes our Burnt Fog Smoked Porter recipe, drops the smoked malt and adds peanut butter, chocolate and lactose sugar. The combination produced a creamy peanut butter cup of a beer fitting of a celebration and capable of easing the winter doldrums. Nukin’ Futz was brewed for our 3rd anniversary on New Year’s Eve but will continue as an occasional release."

Only PB beer I can remember having, it was tasty but not overly memorable. I've heard from friends who've tried to brew with nuts or nut butter that the oil fucks things up and it's difficult to manage. Guessing that's why we don't see it used more but I could be wrong.

Thanks for the heads up @Dan_K, I'll keep an eye out for this one to continue my research

Renegade's Black Gold isn't a bad one, although it tends to be a pretty limited release...and it does seem to vary from year to year.
There's always the option of using an extract if you're just trying to get a flavor profile.
Dry Dock once made an extract chocolate blonde that looked like Budweiser but tasted like Yoohoo.

For whatever reason it seems it's easy enough to get peanut aroma, but more difficult to get the taste. I would say this beer had a very muted peanut taste, if any. I had a PB beer at GABF that was an instant "dump" beer. I would be interested to hear from Dry Dock how this was actually made.

Coda did a real good PB&J porter over the summer.

I thought the peanut butter cup stout from Snowbank Brewing in Ft. Collins was amazing. I preferred it to the Dry Dock.

Does anyone know if this is on tap in Denver anywhere? Wasn't able to make it to Dry Dock when they had it on tap and really want to try this.
