So I just brewed an IPA with hop schedule as follows:
    60min: simcoe 1oz
    15min: citra 1oz
    15 min: mosaic 1oz

Was curious as to amounts of hops I should use for dry hopping, I have all three. Was planning on an ounce each of citra and mosaic.
    Thought?

I hate to say it, but my initial thought is that is no IPA, maybe an APA. I'd put in a blend of all 3, about 2 ozs total based on your hopbill.

Some claim that most your flavor and aroma will come from dry hopping anyway. I say let loose with 1oz of each for 5-7 days, of course based on a 5gal batch I assume?

End of boil hops will also contribute a significant amount of hop flavor/aroma but the OP chose to not utilize end of boil hopping.

    Cheers!

I agree!! I have had great sucess with 3oz of hops for dryhopping in a 5gal batch. I would go with 1/2 of citra though can over take the rest of the hops.

I'd do 1oz of each for 5 days, but I'd do them separately - gives you a nice layered flavor. I'd do Simcoe, Citra and Mosaic last.

You'll see a lot of hops added at 10 5 1 and KO in IPAs. I'd say 0.5 oz incriments would be fine.

Since you have all three on hand an oz to an oz and a half of each of the three hops would be a delicious dry hop addition.

If that's an APA, then that's an APA clocking in at upwards of 80 Tinseth IBUs (calculated, assuming 5 gallon batch and some other average assumptions).

Bitterness alone does not make an IPA.

I believe that kjyost meant that the op's recipe didn't have enough flavor and/or aroma hops in the boil and I tend to agree.

In a typical 10 gallon batch, I have been known to use up to 2# of hops and most of those are <20 min.

It's got the IBU's of an IPA, but will severely lack some lack hop character to it.

I'd suggest doing Citra and Mosaic together first, atleast an ounce of each. Give it around a week at room temp, then pull them, and add Simcoe. I'd do 2 ounces of that, and then let it go.

You might be going after more of the mosaic note, but honestly, Mosaic and Citra together is mega potent and very dank-candy like. Need some pine to balance it.. Chinook would be my choice, but you didn't list that.

Looks like an awesome combo! Definitely dry hop 5 days before bottling to reduce grassy flavors.

A couple ounces of dryhops using mosaic and citra sounds to me like a thing of beauty.

Thanks for the suggestion! Yes, it's a five gallon batch. I think I will go with all three at 1 oz for a week.
As for suggestions for next time on hop boil, would it be best to do citra and mosaic at 5 and flameout? Once again just getting opinions. Any other suggestions on the hop times and dry hops with those three variations would be awesome.

Yes, it would have weak IPA flavor/aroma by today's standards, but from the info given (and assumptions about the info not given, like IPA sized gravity and appropriate grain bill), I would still say it's an IPA.

My point was... Weak IPA Hop Flavor/Aroma <> APA
