Just wondering, is 5 days a long enough time to dry hop or should I wait longer? also, how long should I cold crash before I keg? Thanks

What kind of beer are you making? And what's the gist of the recipe (including hops schedule)? And what do you want the beer to taste like?

I'll usually wait at least 7days conditioning at ~63F but most people will say that 5 is ideal depending on temp...the lower the conditioning temp the longer you should dry hop is a general rule of thumb.

Depends on whole vs. pellets. Pellets 5-7 is fine, whole I usually go 10-12 days. I recently tried going as short as 3 with pellets (From BN Can You Brew it talks with the Pros), but didn't get the aroma and flavor I was looking for, so I've settled on 5 as my lower limit for hoppy stuff using pellets.

Pellets. Ok. I wanted to keg tomorrow but it's only 6 days ago maybe I will wait then cold crash for a few

I'm about to bottle a beer that's been nine days on pellets in a weighted paint bag (1oz willamette, 3.5 gallons). We'll see what happens. Usually I've been doing about 6-7 days with good results at 68F+/- 1F

My very first ever was a celebration "clone" but didn't have any chinook

It still came out good though :grinning:

Celebration is not Dry hopped with Chinook. Its 60 min is Chinook, but dry hop is Cascade and Centennial

    This is true!

I like 5 days as a sweet spot at 65-70F. 6-7 is fine then cold crash
