There was recently a crawfish boil at my house and guest left a lot of beer. Yuengling, budweiser, miller lite, coors, etc. I have some surplus hops in the freezer as well. I was thinking of purging a carboy or keg with c02 and then dumping all the beer in and dry hopping. How horrible would this be?

Sounds like a waste of time and hops.

I have to agree with the other folks who posted. I really doubt that things will work out with this plan. Save those hops for a good use: a homebrewed beer.

    Cheers!

There could be some value in using commercial lagers to test the dry hopping performance of unfamiliar hop types. But I would do this in smaller scales, maybe growler scale, or possibly even recapping a bottle after add some pellets.

And there is genuine enjoyment to be had by blending commercial beers in thoughtful ways. But I would do this at small scales too, like in the glass. And I wouldn't expect much enjoyment from blending a bunch of American lagers, but what do I know?

Dropping a pellet or two of a hop into a light beer is a great way to check its profile. I've done it before with great results. Pop the cap, drop a pellet or two in, recap... toss and turn the bottle and allow to sit for a few days. Crash and decant into glass, the aroma was quite significant the one time I did it with questionable, oniony Columbus. Test made sure I never used that batch for dry hop. Lol
