Dry Hopping In The Keg

    I have always just used whole hops and threw them in a sanitized bag. Works fantastic

    you did weigh the bag down right?

    I did. Sanitized marbles (boiled and Star San). Not a ton of them, so the bag sort of floated a bit anyway. Still, I've little doubt it will sink. Eventually.

    I generally dry hop in keg with whole leaf. It takes a lot to weigh down 3 or so ounces. I was thinking about tying the strainer bag to the dip tube right at the top, then turning the keg upside down and leave sit that way for about a week, hops will be completely submerged in beer. Then turn and place in kegerator and hook up gas. After a few pours the bag will come out of the beer. Anyone have any thoughts on this?
