    Hello,

I just made a similar thread. I have some IPA wort in primary, it is full of esters b/c I pitched too hot.
Will using more hops while dry hopping combat this aroma?
So far I have used Warrior and Cascade, could anyone recommended a hop that might best combat this?

    Thanks

    Not really, IMO.

Can you think of anything that would help it?

I did similar recently. Pitched at 90. I didn't even think about dry hopping. I just kind up resigned myself to it. What temp did you pitch at?

Mid 80s, I am only considering doing a big dry hop b/c its an IPA and i would dry hop anyways. Its not really in the taste, its just aroma so maybe I could over power it a bit. How did your beer turn out despite pitching too hot, please tell me it was not ruined??

I do think dry hopping might help to some degree. Also, be aware that your yeast will probably 'clean up' after itself to some degree, so if these are esters we're talking about (and not, say, fusel alcohol) they will probably fade a little bit with a week or two or cold conditioning.

No. Although if it's really just banana esters, they have a way of fading over time.

How do you know there won't be strong esters in the taste? You brewed this less than two days ago.
My troll detector is starting to twitch.

Did the exact same thing once.. beer never did recover. I would say continue as though it was fine and give it a month in the bottles.. you might get lucky. I was not .. dumped it all.
