I am doing a dry run as per usual this year but going a little long than last. Are you? Please post and fill out the survey. I am always looking to try new NA beers during this time in the Canadian market (last year the mix pack from Brewdog was very good). Please post recommendations as well as what province they're available in!
Coors Edge and Beck's are not bad for the lagers. Paulaner 0.0 was pretty good but way to heavy on carbs (36 g per 500 ml). Clausthaler dry hopped IPA was very good and hop forward. Park Hazy IPA was good, but anything partake is and it is also very low in Carbs (4 g on average per can). Sober Carpenter from Quebec Blonde, IPA, Irish Red (fav), Wheat (great coriander taste), and organic IPA we're all good too! Sam Adams Hazy NA made me wish they sold it I. Canada. Honestly it tasted like the real deal. It was outstanding. Gift from a friend visiting the USA.
Kingston Ontario Metro has three of the Sober Carpenter styles IPA, blonde and Irish red. I also like the red the best out of the three. LCBO is a bit farther away but has the Collective Arts pale ale on a regular basis and I like more than the Sober Carpenter stuff. Guiness zero is my favorite of the NA beers but still having supply issues locally. Will have to try the Partake next time I'm in Metro. Received a flat of Dieu de Ciel peche mortel for Christmas which I am rationing out, so a semi-dry couple of months.
I've found that Corona Sunbrew is quite good. It tastes very similar, if not exact to Corona. If that's your thing... Also heard that Guinness 0 is good, but have not seen it in the stores yet. I'd like to try that one out.
Carlsberg 0.0 is not to bad. I picked up Sober Carpenter Raspberry Sour and Black IPA today and looking forward to trying. If anyone else has some Ontario Supermarket recommendations I am in the Durham/Clarington region area and always looking for new NAs to try.
Over at bar towel, I've been reading that rogue river had one of the best NA IPAs to the point where you couldn't tell the difference...give it a go!
I would love too. Sam Adams Hazy is the best I've ever had. You honestly wouldn't know the difference!
