    Good Morning,

Been brewing for a few years now and recently got into kegging. Lurking the forums for a while, never posted before, forgive the newbieness. Question for those with dual keg setups. 1 co2 tank, 1 regulator, and 2 corny kegs. What pressure should I assume the regulator is sending to the kegs? Example, if I set it as 12psi, should I assume both kegs are getting 12 or should I assume about evenly split at 6? 2 way manifold with valves open to full on each. Does the regulator draw allow Co2 until it reaches the balance of the psi it is set at?

    Welcome.
The regulator does just that, it regulates the flow of gas.

It will supply 12 psi, or whatever you set it to, until the keg has 12 psi of gas in it pushing back on the regulator. Then it will no longer push gas because it has reached the set point. When you pour a beer the liquid level decreases, the head space increases and because there is more space for the gas, the pressure in the keg decreases... the regulator no longer has 12 psi pushing back and it fills the void until everything is balanced again.

Know that the regulator fills the pressure first quickly, then slower until it gets very close to 12 psi and it is just cracking open a bit. So the needle on the gauge will jump up quickly but it will take a few minutes to actually settle at the set point. Don't turn up the pressure or you will be overshooting your set point.

    Cheers.
