And I was starting to think I was crazy. Seems I'm not the only one.

I've had infected bottles of every seasonal back to Baltic Porter. (Hoppy Bunny, Rabid Duck (entire case) and Barleywine)

I must have the worst luck ever. Some friends brought over a six of D-R Milk Stout...it is one of his wife's favorites. We both tried it and it was also infected. This is getting out of hand!

I sent an Email ti Phil with no response at all from the link. Never another DR brew in my fridge ever. Not looking really for anything but an explanation. See a local go up in smoke over bad beer and lousy press.

Infected Hoppy Bunny is a new one, the only thing out of control is DR.

I met with one of the brewery reps in Durham to trade in some of the infected beers that I had on hand. I got some hoppy bunny in return, and every bottle that I've had from tat pack has been great. When I met with him, he did say that they were getting sporadic reports from people and that it wasn't an entire batch that was affected all at once. Maybe this means that: A. People aren't noticing it or B. Some of the people who do notice it just dump it out and don't say anything?

It would be impossible to not notice it. It is absolutely undrinkable. Disgusting. I would say the vast majority of people are just dumping it without saying anything. I would guess most are probably not as in the know as many of us and would just assume it is a style they dont like. I wish there was something I could do about it but nothing would be worth the effort for a $10 six pack. I'm just not going down this road with Duck Rabbit anymore. Too many other great breweries and beers with better QA in place that don't have these problems.

That was your experience. While I had bad experiences with Rabid Duck, the Hoppy Bunny I had was pretty tasty.

To be honest I prefer Foothills and Olde Hickory, this stuff just cements it.

I must have great luck, no issues for me on the 12 baltic porters I've had, only half my Rabids were sour, and I've gone through a case of Hoppy Bunny with no issue

A bump with good news, Thanks Mr. Phillipon, I have been contacted back and asked for my shirt size.

If they can solve their problems - horrible "if" - I'm sure those who love their beers will be happy to get them again, I mean, Rabid Duck is one of the most delicious big stouts out there, I look forward to getting it every year. If DR fixes problems I'll be happy to wear shirt, use schwag proudly.

When stuff comes I'll post a pic.

Glad to hear it, buddy. I hope they can get things straightened out... would be a shame otherwise.

I know it's not reasonable to ask them to send non-DR stuff as part of making good.

But, it is still tough to swallow that you spend your money and get several infected beers, and their mea culpa is to give you a shirt to wear which, well, advertises their product, thus benefiting them and causing you to visibly endorse the very same that just so thoroughly disappointed you.

Thanks for the glasses, very nice. I hate the problem your facing and hope you get it taken care of quickly. Quality stuff pre problem for sure, but a nice gesture on your part for those of us who can't drive to the brewery.

I did receive an email from Paul stating he'd pass it along to the Triangle rep. Haven't heard from the rep yet ... still waiting on that.

All kidding aside, thanks to paul for responding to everybody on this and sending out some schwag. I received mine in the mail today. Hopefully the issues you're having will be solved quickly.

Just had a Rabid Duck the other night and it was delicious, no sign of any infection whatsoever. Nor have I had any problem with any of the other bottles I've had from DR; all were purchased in the Philly area. Keep up the good work!

I too got an email back from Paul while I was on vacation as well as a box from them. Thanks Paul and I truly hope that you guys can isolate the problem and fix it permanently. See you at Olde Rabbit's Foot this year! Cheers!
