DuClaw HERO Chocolate Chipotle Stout

    Hey all - Just started my second glass of DuClaw's 2nd H.E.R.O. beer, the Chocolate Chipotle Stout. I must say, it's pretty good. I was impressed with the chocolate peanut butter porter released last year, so I was hoping this one would be tasty as well. It is.

    Nice roasty chocolate notes upfront followed by a heat that kind of sneaks up on you. The beer has a great mouthfeel, not too thin, not too thick.

    If y'all see it on the shelves, do yourself a favor and grab one. It's worth the 8 bucks or so.

    Thanks for the heads up. I saw it on the shelves today, but pasted because I was there for something else. Will have to get it next time.

    I think you will be pleasantly surprised, Ken. Upon first whiff and taste, I didn't think the chipotles were really well integrated. A few sips later and they let themselves be known!

    I have been looking forward to trying this one as last years Hero was great and all the money goes to charity too.

    Excellent. I really enjoyed the chocolate peanut butter as well last year, and can't wait to try this one as well this year. Thanks for the heads up.

    It's at least better than Euphoria, yes? They seem to be kinda hit or miss. I thought Barrel aged X-1 and Retribution were both really good, but some of their regulars were not so fantastic.
