I'm visiting from out of town and I'll be attending the Duke at UNC football game solo. Curious if there are any beer related tailgates/shares or if there is anything beer related worth hitting up prior to the game. I believe the game is at 330. Maybe even some cool Chapel Hill breweries near the stadium? Thanks
A couple of my buddies are meeting before the game. Here was the last communication: For anyone who is still thinking of going to the football game, a few of us are going to meet up at the Friday Center lot, and crush some beers there, and then make our way to campus and crush more beers, and then watch Carolina take down Duke. It's free to park at the Friday Center lot off Hwy 54. There is tailgating that goes on there. And then there are buses that take you up to campus, or we may carpool to campus together in a car. But either way, come on out! I'll be out there around 12:30pm or so.
Spend some time in Carrboro before the game. Just walk around and pop in. Milltown and Tyler's are two old line places. If you have some gumption head out to Saxapahaw and check out Haw River Farmhouse Ales. Steel String and Beer Study are perfect stops. Otherwise Franklin Street right on campus works well. Have a nice visit and expect a high scoring game!
