Dumb Luck!

    This morning while shopping at Marsh I noticed their revamped beer aisle. I was quite impressed, the person who selected the beers was very thoughtful and clearly knowledgeable about craft beers. You can now buy single bottles of a wide variety of some very nice beers. This also can be said about the 6-pack variety that includes many local craft beers. Looking at all of these new beers is when I saw the holy grail of beers.... ZOMBIE DUST! I never see this anywhere where I buy my beers (except behind the counters). I quickly picked up the two six packs on the shelf and hid them in my cart. Thank you Marsh!

    What Marsh? I live in Muncie and while Marsh has a decent craft beer section I've never seen three floyds beers. Let alone zombie dust!

    I get out enough! Here in IN this is one of the holy grail beers. Its a good beer and will be good trade bait at this months home-brew club meeting!

    Dumb Luck is the "payoff" in my beer seeking! Found a case of Backwoods Bastard last month, just on walking into a beer shop on a whim.:rolling_eyes:

    I would have taken each individual bottle out and put them in the mix a six carrier....probably could have gotten it for like $5 cheaper total.

    This is why I'm losing faith in craft beer. Groceries are getting "allocated" items. Marsh, while a local grocery, has not helped build the FFF brand at all.

    Hey be nice, he's happy he found a beer he wants to drink. And i'm pretty sure there was a twinkle in your eye the last time you were in my store when you asked if i had any and the answer was yes.

    Tried out a new bar that I've been wanting to try and while looking down the tap list I spot Alpha King Pale Ale.

    My friend tries another beer and she's told that keg has been tapped. When asked what replaced it, the waiter says "Dirtwolf." Good lunch.

    So I never actually said I have done that. Not sure why anyone would accuse me by saying "you steal"...so that judgment was pretty silly. I can probably count on one hand the amount of times I've done a mix a six in my 12-14 years of buying craft beer....maybe more than 5 but probably no more than 10. And when I've done the mix a six it's usually been from the shop i used to frequent in Indy, Kahns. If having the thought that someone could do that with a mix a six spot in a grocery store makes me a bad person, then I suppose you are entitled to that opinion. anyone who knows me and has hung out with me knows I'm not like that. I just find it amusing that instead of someone asking "hey, is that something you've actually done before?" they immediately write me off as a "stealer". which is fine. If you want to BM me about it further, I'm happy to discuss it with people.
