Bars: El Moro. They are sitting on a kegs of Hill Farmstead and Melvin- both should be going on soon. Great bottle list. Knowledgable and friendly staff. The best option in Durango for craft beer. Plenty of other bar options. Depends on what you are looking for. Bottle Shops: Star Liquor. Best selection. They have 2 guys there that really know their stuff. Wagon Wheel. Always hidden gems on the shelf. Saw a rye whiskey Abyss there yesterday for $21. I passed on it
Oh and then the Breweries. There is 6 of them (actually 5 right now as 1 is closed for renovations). BREW is quickly becoming my favorite. But Carvers, Steamworks, and SKA are not to be missed either. Shoot, add Animas Brewing if you are here for 2 weeks. You really should hit them all.
Thanks @omgeezo. Just hit Star and spent WAAAAY too much money. How in the hell do you guys have BCBS just sitting in the cooler out here? And S.H.I.T., my local place got a half case total. Star has at least a case sitting out. Hitting up El Moro this evening. Cheers!
