I'm heading to Durango for the weekend, flying in and out of Denver. Just looking for insights on beer/breweries in Durango or on the way from Denver. Any info is appreciated!
If you are going 285 from Denver, it is worth a stop in Buena Vista for Eddyline and Poncha Springs for Elevation...Once you get to Durango, Ska is worth a visit, El Moro for Bar/Food with a good bottle/tap list, and Star Liquors for liquor store.
Any update on la cumbre in Durango? I used their beer finder and the only location in 100 miles was ska brewing. Is this correct? What's the best liquor store to try out.
Just moved to Durango - most liquor stores in town carry Elevated, Slice of Hefen, and Malpais. In general Star Liquors has the best all around beer selection. Only thing to watch out for is freshness of Elevated. A couple of weeks ago Star's batch was canned in early April, but Put a Cork In It (next to Natural Grocers) had some 5/27 cans.
Crooked Stave distributing finally made their way to Durango. Star is stocked up with CS as well as other from the portfolio like Prarie etc
