Hello! Long time no posting. So anyhow, I was drinking a duvel tonight, as I regularly do since I love that beer, and this one bottle just tastes... strange. I am not really able to pull out the exact flavor that is different, however my wife, who in my opinion has a stronger pallet than I do, noticed it as well. Her descriptor word was rubber. When thinking of rubber when drinking it I can kind of taste that as well, sort of like what a tire smells like.

Anyhow, any idea what would cause that? An aging issue maybe? The bottle does say 10-2019, so definitely older than most duvels I have in the cellar, but this one came from a gift box someone gifted me for Christmas/.
