Hello everybody, For those who are interested, I have made a Duvel glass catalogue. It started as a list for myself to keep track of which (Duvel) glasses are available and which where missing in my collection. Whenever I saw a new glass on publicly available sites, I added it to my list with as much information as possible. It's mainly written in English (you might find some Dutch words or text from time to time). It has around 700 glasses (official, non-official) and most of them have pictures. It might not be complete but at least it's a start. If you have feedback, better pictures, more information, or are looking to trade some Duvel glasses, feel free to send me a message. You can download it from this google Drive link:
That is a very extensive catalog. I would never guess there are so many varieties. How many do you have?
As someone who occasionally goes off the deep end on projects of little value to anyone but myself, I applaud the thoroughness of this catalog. I like the variations in font size, spacing, etc. between iterations of the same design and the documented misprints in addition to the variety of wide-release, small-batch, and bootleg versions.
I have around 191 glasses. It's a little bit like Pokemon: "Gotta Catch'em all" For those who are interested, there is an updated version. See link below. https://drive.google.com/open?id=1HvoNpUHv4s1Uuo2DrpsEHZFz9LWoRsWB
@Beer_Economicus definitely interested my friend! Thanks for the mention! @Kenpachigo You created this by yourself??? Amazing job man! Really well done! I’ll have a look later on and be in touch! We could definitely work something out! With your permission I can forward this directly to the Duvel marketing team (I have a contact there) and they can have a look them selves for any missing pieces and get back to us.... I’m sure they will like this catalogue! Do you mention anywhere which ones you have?
@BeerGlassesCollector Thanks ! Yes, I made it myself: It started out as an excel sheet to keep track of my own glasses. Then I added the glasses which I was missing. Then I spend some time creating an excel macro to load pictures in the comment of each entry At the same time, I spend some time making webscraping tool in excel to download all Duvel glass (pictures, price seller etc..) adds on a Belgian second hand site. TTo find all the missing ones. Then I made a Word macro which uses the excel file as a source to generate this catalogue. Then it's just exporting to PDF Reminds me of Hal from Malcom in the Middle replacing his light bulb Anyway, feel free to share. Spread the love! I do have a list of my glasses but it's a separate list.
