Revolution is releasing their Hugene Barrel Aged version today on draft only. Anyone going to check it out?

    12% 60IBU

I'm very curious as some of their barrel beers are awesome and some need some aging due to hotness (very mad cow). This is solely my personal opinion.

This beer is awesome... Probably my favorite BA brew from rev so far. Can't wait to see this hit bottles.

Remember loving it....looking forward to it.

Now how about Rev try their hand at another weird belgian/sour/barrel beer again, like Pablo Picasso? It was an acquired taste but I loved it.

    more new rev news........

A new Gene family member, Boy Gene, featuring boysenberries, is gestating in bourbon barrels right now.

Also look for Deth's Tar in mid-September. A play on Josh's name, this Russian imperial stout is aged in four different types of bourbon barrels (Old Fitzgerald, Old Forester, Elijah Craig, and Evan Williams), then blended for the resulting thick and dark brew. We'll do a release day in the tap room (more details to come) as well as a wide release in 22-ounce bottles and draft. Four kegs of Deth's Tar's precursor were held back and will be released as Alderaan in mid-August.

I hope Ohio's ABV cap doesn't screw us on this one.

Just saw this as well. VERY EXCITED. I love living a 5-minute bike ride from the taproom. I never set foot in the brewpub. It's all taproom all the time for me.

That's great and all, but I'm literally turning blue holding my breath for BA Baracus.

Let's hope Alderaan uses a similar recipe to Baracus.

I hope they get around to bottling Hugene at some point, I really love Hugene. May have to get down to Rev this evening if I have time and grab a pour. And Death's Tar sounds great as well.
