    Hello all,
I am making my first trip to Minnesota tomorrow and hoping to grab some cans/bottles of Surly, Steel Toe, and Indeed. I might have some time to kill before a business meeting in Eagan and was wondering if there are any good craft beer stores in the area.
Also, if anyone has a good lunch recommendation in Eagan, it would be doubly appreciated!

If you're limited to Eagan because of time, the options for beers are limited to a few decent stores, nothing great.

There's a Big Top off of Yankee Doodle. They have Surly & a pretty decent selection. Can't recall seeing Indeed there, only a few places in the southern metro that carry it. Black Diamond is OK too, though a big expensive. If you're in the southern portion of Eagan, the local Eagan Cellars is the best option, they'll have the biggest selection.

And of course, if you have enough time, highly recommend a trip down 35 to Blue Max. One of the top stores in the metro, great local selection & the most imports of any place in the state.

As for lunch, Eagan is kind of a wasteland of chains, unfortunately. El Loro is very good is you're in the mood for Mexican. Granite City & Axel's Bonfire are both good. Otherwise, we usually drive into St. Paul or Minneapolis

I'd throw in out Lone Oak Grill or Zest! as possible lunch stops as well. Both have solid tap lists and pretty good food.

If you can make the 10 minute drive to Blue Max, that is the only store you need to go to. You will be able to find Surly and Indeed there. Unfortunately Steel Toe doesn't have distribution in the South Metro. If you stay in Eagan and want some Indeed, go to MGM on the corner of Diffley Rd. and Pilot Knob Rd. Only store in Eagan I have personally seen it at.

Haha, I'd love to, but the trip is going to be too much of a whirlwind variety (not by choice) to partake in sharing/trading. Is anything from PA even considered rare in these parts, aside from the bottle in my avatar photo, which is all gone by now?

I echo Maximum12's posts. The Lone Oak Grill has a good assortment of local taps and has good food. If you want to go a little deeper in to Eagan (right by the Cellars liquor store, kind of a across the street) there is Casper's. They have a couple of local taps (even have Hopslam still ((had some on Sat night, still tasted great, not as much hops fade as I was expecting)). Their food is pretty solid as far as steaks and the fare. Blue Max is the best place to go for bottles by far, ask for Jim (doesn't work Mondays) he will lead you in the right direction.
