What's your definition of 4.0? I always grade beers based on school grading system. B is 80% and what I deemed as good, C, Was 70% and i'd take it over worse beers but, not something too great. So 4.0 is basically me saying the beer wasn't mediocre. Maybe I need to rethink how I rate beers.

Oh and what's good in Milwaukee near the amtrak and ampitheater? I'm planning a trim on 4th of july for a concert and not sure i'm driving or taking the hiawatha or whatever it's called.

Third Space isn't too far from the Amtrak Station though not walkable.

4.0 out of 5.0. So yea 80%. Only one beer that they came out with was less than that. Everything else was in worst case a B. Just tried their new Key Largo and was really impressed. The graham crackers really came through. That's one I would put above 90%.

Anyone know what cans, if any, are currently available? I’ll be up tomorrow for a quick day long business trip. Facebook shows cans were recently released, but doesn’t seem to mention anything about the current inventory. TIA, cheers!

Different strokes for different folks, I guess.

Having just had a half dozen or so Other Half cans in the past month and visiting Veil a couple weeks ago, I would choose Eagle Park over those breweries nine times out of ten.

All their stouts are sweetened up with lactose. And don't bother drinking an IPA or Pale that isn't NE style because they are not good.

Sorry that is just craziness. I've found that Eagle Park brews the best Milwaukee NE IPAs but to say you'd choose them 9 times out of ten over OH or the Veil ruins any credibility you had imo.

1- I read that as Milwaukee's Best NE IPA which would be hilarious if they made one.
2- Why does someone lose credibility over their preferences? Is it beyond the realm of possibilities that someone prefers the flavor profile of Eagle Park to others? It is nice to hold Veil up as a standard , but if you try enough NEIPAs across the country from the thousands of brewers doing them, you'd find they aren't doing anything unique....

    I appreciate rhe sane response.

Opinions are opinions, which is why I started by saying different strokes. Though frankly I really don’t care all that much why an internet stranger thinks of my credibility.

Having had a ton of Veil beers over time, I am more often disappointed than impressed. I know some people love them, but there’s just something about there beers that consistently leaves me wanting more.

On the other hand, I have had very few Eagle Park beers that I have not enjoyed. Perhaps the expectation level is different, but still I would honestly choose an Eagle Park can over Veil the majority of the time.

Hello MKE, I'm visiting my brother who moved out Cedarburg, WI... We'll be visiting Eagle Park on Sat. June, 30, are there any other places we should hit in the city for cans? Looking for Untitled Art without the trip to Madison.

Discount Liquor should have a ton of Untitled Art. Or Ottos which is closer to Eagle Park.

Last time is was in town, Otto's by him, Cedarburg area, had theie craft IPA cans at room temp wasting away... Does the Milwaukee one treat their live beer better?

Everywhere here keeps the industrial wall of shit cold and leaves crafts to die at room temp.

Such a shame... Why? I guess it's up Sir James in Port Washington, that guy keeps his beer cold.

Didn't mean to come off the way I did. Of course, it's all a matter of taste but having tasted too many NE IPAs from all over the world, I thought Eagle Park's brews were fine. I thought your comment was a bit outrageous and think that most would agree if comparing Eagle Park to Other Half. I come to Milwaukee at least a couple of times a year for work and thus am always looking for good advice from locals who love the beer scene.

Hard for me to compare to Veil as I've only tried 10 or so of their offerings. But compared to the top tier for the style (Other Half, Monkish, Hill Farmstead, Treehouse, Trillium, etc.), they are not at that level (at least as of last summer). With that said, I'll be back next month and I'm pretty excited to check out their current brews.

    Lol at point #1.
As far as #2 goes, of course it's a matter of opinion and taste. But if you blind taste-tested a whole bunch of NEIPAs across the board, I can't imagine many would prefer Eagle Park over more prominent breweries (although I'm sure some would).

I'll be stopping by the brewery tomorrow afternoon, but I see they are doing a release. I wasn't really planning on that, so will it be annoying to get pours at the bar, or are there separate lines? Will there even be lines for this? Do these things usually sell out?

    Thanks in advance for advice.
