    Hi cross-country fellow BA'ers.

I'm going to be visiting my grandparents April 2nd - April 5th. I live in Minnesota, and would love some advice on a brewery to visit while I'm there. Is Funky Buddha the general consensus? I will actually be trying to work remotely on Thursday. Am I lying to myself if I think I can get work done there?

I can also post some official trades on your forum when I'm closer to dates, but I know it will be a few weeks after hunahpu day, and I have a good selection of Surly Darkness (barrel afed this year!), Indeed Rum King, and other midwest treats that I would be interested in flipping for CC bombers. I also have some more rare things like Lift Bridge barrel-aged silhouette if there are any double hunahpu bottles around.

I'm still a little new to this, so I'm sorry if those trades I just ballparked are way off. Does Hunahpu show up in shops at all? If so I hope my timing is close to spot on.

    Thanks for reading!

Best brewery to visit near Fort Lauderdale is Funky Buddha in Oakland Park, which is a suburb of Fort Lauderdale. Working remotely from there, early in day (they open at 12 pm) they are usually not busy so you might be able to get work done but later in afternoon people start coming in for happy hour and I doubt you will be very productive. Other breweries in area are LauderAle in Fort Lauderdale but they are fairly new to the game and while decent, they are not on the level of Funky Buddha. Other good breweries around are Due South up in Boynton Beach and in midtown Miami (Wynwood), J.Wakefield Brewing and Wynwood Brewery.

Not sure what CC bombers will be around during that time. Hunahpu is not sold in stores that I know of. You might be better off working out a trade with someone now that is going to Hunahpu Day and have them snag you a bottle. Enjoy Fort Laud!

Thank you both @jcb7472 & @Tanass for the tips! Unfortunately I won't be there on a Tuesday for this trip, but I will keep that in mind for next time.

Great suggestions on the Breweries above but if you want a good place to hang out and drink local beer you may want to check out Riverside Market in downtown Lauderdale. You'll find a bunch of local stuff on tap, wifi, food, and couches to hang out on. They also have a huge bottle selection to drink there or to go. http://theriversidemarket.com/
And ABC Fine Wine & Spirits on Federal Hwy. does growler fills and often has decent local stuff.
    Enjoy!!!!!

I really enjoyed Laser Wolf. Not too far from FB.

Funky Buddha Brewery is a must. Laser Wolf usually has some decent stuff on tap. Tap 42 has really good food and a decent selection on draft, as well as a decent (though overpriced) bottle list for on-site only. Riverside is worth checking out. From time to time they're known to have some nice surprises in their coolers and you can take them to-go. If you venture down to Miami, Kush and JWakefield are close together and are well worth the trip. And even though some Hunahpu will hit distro, it's highly unlikely you'll find any on the shelves as we will see very limited bottles. GL anyways. Hope you have a good time down here

Where did you hear this? I thought the only bottles that are to be available are during Huna day and for special events.

I should have stated that it was merely an assumption on my part.
