I'm thinking about taking a drive out into the nether-realms of the East Bay on Friday to check out a few places I've never been. Currently on my list of options I've got:
    Altamont
    Heretic
    Knee Deep
    Linden Street

I feel like when I'm at Beer Rev I see a bunch of places I've never heard of, but these are all I can think of off the top of my head. Beerfly is no help because a lot of these places are too new.
    So, what am I missing?

Knee Deep is in Lincoln and eventually Auburn? And Heretic is in Fairfield?

Elevation 66 in El Cerrito is a good place to check out.

Cali-craft are based out in Walnut Creek, they don't have a tap room or anything as far as I know. Ale Industries have a tap room in Concord.

Linden Street is definitely worth checking out, I love their location

Knee Deep - don't go until they move to Auburn. But thats waaay east (east of sacramento).

Guessing you have been to Drake's.

I didn't realize Knee Deep was moving to Auburn. Ugh, that's a haul.
Good call on Ale Industries. I've never actually been out there. Never had anything from Elevation 66. I'll give themna try.
And ya, I've been to Drake's many times.

I second Linden st, it's a fun little spot right down the way from Beer Rev. Although honestly you've probably had all their beer before. I don't know if Line 51 has a brewery or anything, but they're a new east bay one.

This would probably be a separate trip but you should check out Berryessa Brewing in Winters when you have a chance. Once you hit Vacaville you can take a scenic route up Pleasants Valley Rd that makes the drive not so bad. Open Fri-Sun, really cool spot & great beer, an hour drive from Oakland.

Not to be a dick or anything, but Lincoln (their current location) is right next to Auburn. They aren't going to be any further away from the Bay Area than they already are.

I believe Triple VooDoo is in Pittsburgh.

I have never been to Lincoln. I had no idea it was so far out there. I only know Auburn as the place i stop and get beer on my way to Fifty Fifty.

It's been a while (years!) since I've been to either, but Triple Rock and Jupiter are in Berkeley. I recently saw someone 'meh' Jupiter, which is the impression that I had from way back, but Triple Rock might be worth a stop.

I'd check out (or in at) Linden before either, though.

I had Berryessa's Double Tap IPA at Boonville and it was a good beer. I haven't been there yet, but look forward to reading a review.

It would probably be the same drive time for folks living outside of Lincoln and traveling on the interstate. I will be semi sad to see them go. I never had room in my fridge for a growler so I never went to a loading dock Friday. If they had more stuff going on I could have walked my happy ass there and stumbled home.

Doesn't Triple Rock make Jupiters beer?

I'm pretty sure Jupiter does some brewing on-site. If anything, Drake's would brew some of their beers (Jupiter's), not Triple Rock. Triple Rock just brews for their brewpub.

    Evidently there's some relationship.

From what I understand Jupiter brews onsite just enough to qualify as a brewpub. Drake's makes most of their beer.
