Good day....I visit the BA site often and peruse the forums from time to time so I figured today would be a good day to maybe join in the fun. I don't know what the proper protocal for introducing one's self here....so here I am I guess. I do have a question I'm hoping someone can help me with. I'll be working for a day in a small Mississippi town near the Alabama border. I'll have four hours to kill that afternoon and thought I'd run over to 'Bama and hopefully pick up some beers we don't get here in Mississippi. It seems to me that the only options as far a towns I could make it to and back within four hours will be Livingston or Aliceville.....does anyone know if either of those locales are likely to have a good enough selection for me to travel to instead of napping during my down time? Cheers Jacob
That should be WEST central alabama of course....showing off my geographical genius right out of the gate there
Go on into The Ham...it'll be worth it for the bottle shopping....plus the brewery taprooms you could visit...and then finish it off with visit to J Clyde..
I'm from Carthage, TrappistJohn. As I said I'll just be over in that area for the day when I go and I won't have the time to make the run to B'ham or Tuscaloosa. I was just hoping to pick up maybe a few selections that we don't get here yet if a small town nearby might have a few. I did find a Sipsey's Liquor in Aliceville which would be a pretty easy run to make and get back to finish up my work. I'll probably give them a ring before I go just to check.
