Hi all...taking a trip to Baltimore this upcoming week for a wedding. Any recommendations to solid hops, local or regional, that are worth checking out?

BA stuff (stouts, barleywines, quads) as well.

    Any recs?

Union double duckpin is great but not sure if there's been a new batch since late February. Union recently released Steady Eddie. Solid easy drinking ipa worth checking out.

From that list (Minnesota v. Maryland), I'd recommend for hops:
    • Union (esp. Double Duckpin)
    • Troegs (don't bother with Nugget Nectar at this point - any cans/bottles are past their prime - but fresh Perpetual and Hopback are excellent)
    • RAR Nanticoke Nectar
    • Maine Beer - you'll be lucky to find Lunch, but Another One/Weez/Zoe/Mo/Peeper are relatively available these days
    • Sly Fox
    • Evolution 3 and 6 (IPA/double), if fresh
    • Sixpoint
    • Heavy Seas

If you bring fresh Surly, Odell, or Indeed (no MD distribution), you might be able to swap for some more obscure RAR cans, Burley Oak, etc on the hoppy front.

Burley Oak Rude Boy 16oz cans are solid. Called a session barleywine at 8%. Pretty decent.
Flying Dog Horn Dog is a solid English Barleywine.
BA Stouts...I know Brewers Alley in Frederick MD has a brewery only version out right now. Its outstanding but lighter than most (I think its 7.5%).
There's a tiny nano brewery called Frey's that makes a decent barleywine called Jenny's Sister. Sold in 12oz bottles in some stores.

Hoppy beers - Manor Hill IPA, Citra Splendor and Passionfruit are all out in cans right now. All are excellent.
RAR Nanicoke nectar in cans is quite solid.
Heavy Seas Loose Cannon is a classic MD IPA.
Flying Dog's Ella (single hop series sold in 12oz bottles), is excellent. Most people I know that have tried it feels its one of the best in this series.

Are those Manor Hill IPAs distro'd at all?

Regular IPA shouldn't be hard to find, check beermenus for Citra Splendor and passionfruit - they see limited distro. The MH Grisette saison is also good.

Going with the assumption that "East Coast hops" means hoppy beers.... you may see some cans from Mispillion River (Delaware), their Holy Crap is a good hoppy red ale.

Don't sleep on Jailbreak Big Punisher.

Where are you typically able to find Another One? I often see the others you mention at Shawan, but I think I've only seen Another One once in the last year.

I'm in DC so the selection may not be exactly the same... Another One is definitely easier to come by than Lunch, but tougher than the others I listed. Also, should have mentioned Tiny Beautiful Something which is also delicious.

    he means hazy juice bombs.

He is looking for stuff like:

    RAR - HYDE

    Pungent, Juicy, Bitter, Bold
RaR is clearly going for that East Coast IPA juiciness here. Super juicy, hazed and heady, Hyde has ample bitterness but avoids being over the top...

Or the Manor Hill Hidden Hopyard Series beers

Muddy and apricot orange body, fairly cloudy with little noticeable carbonation. Creamy one finger head presented, frothy rich ring lacing while drinking...
RAR and Manor Hill are your best choices for IPAs. I don't know if either are available in Baltimore or what would be available. To get to RAR you have to hop the Bay Bridge. Manor Hill is closer, in Ellicott City, west of Baltimore about 30 minutes from downtown.

I recently had a RAR Nanticoke Nectar for the first time (my first RAR) and was disappointed. Something about it just seemed off. Almost a roasty kind of flavor that overpowered any juiciness it might have had.

3 Stars, on the Maryland side of DC, just released a new east coast style dipa called #ultrafresh that looks pretty juicy. Might be an easier trip than cambridge, md.

double duckpin is really good. apparently a fresh batch is coming out very soon. but you can see your fingers through a glass of that.

Just go to Max's in Fell's Point. 100 drafts and over 1000 bottles. If you want some bottles to go, place your order, let them know your from way out of state and ask what they can do. You might be suprised.
