My buddy is heading to Connecticut, Massachusetts, and New York for a little vacation. He asked me to give him a wishlist of stuff that he could possibly find while he is in these states. We both live in California, so can anyone help me out with some NEED TO GET goodies from these three states. He leaves tomorrow. Thanks for the help. Cheers!

Hi - here are a few to get things rolling for you.

CT - New England Brewing Company (Gandhi Bot)

    _____________

MA - Jack's Abby (Hoponius Union, Framinghammer (unlikely to still be on the shelves at this point, but worth having him keep an eye out for), 2nd Anniversary Lager.)

Cisco - Brewers Reserve Double IPA really impressed me a lot. A great beer for the price.

Treehouse Brewing if he is going to be in the Western part of the state. Anything/everything.

Jack's Abby for sure on top of being very tasty. It comes in a more convenient size for travel and packing 500ml/pint + bottles

As everyone else said, Jack's Abby definitely. Hoponius Union is a must. Leisure Time Lager is a great summer wheat lager and their Smoke and Dagger is a great rauchbier. I'd highly recommend Mayflower's Porter, as it is one of the best representations of an English Porter that you'll find. Maine Beer Co. is a little pricy, but if Zoe, MO and Lunch are on the shelves I'd definitely give it a go. I'm not sure if you guys get Ommegang in CA, but if you don't then also pick up some Hennepin by them. It's a fantastic Saison and I'm drinking one as I type this. You get Allagash out in CA, so if you only get Allagash White, then I highly suggest the Black, Tripel & Curieux. Those beers are awesome, among others from Allagash.

I'd second Curieux. It's not cheap ($17-$23 for a 750) but it's spectacular. Definitely worth picking up if you don't get it in CA

    CT:
NEBCO--Gandhi-Bot, Imperial Stout Trooper (if you see it) or any of their single hop offerings
Two Roads--Hizzoner Maibock or Henry's Farm
Founders--although a Michigan brewer, really anything from them is awesome and you can't get them in CA
Maine Lunch or Mo (can them this in other states as well)

    MA:
    Jack's Abby Hoponious Union
    Anything from Tree House

    NY:
    Sixpoint Resin
Southern Tier 2XIPA or Choklat (if you see it)
