I needed to fly to CT from the west coast for an emergency and will only be here for 5 days. I will have 1 day to get some beer from some local craft beer stores. Just wondering what's out here that's hard to fine. I already made one stop and saw beer that I can get on west coast. But I saw some beer from local breweries. Just wondering what's worth to take back with me? Thanks!

I would also recommend that you post your query in the New England forum.

    Cheers!

    Liar.

Meanwhile, if you feel like driving 30 minutes on Saturday, check out OEC Brewing in Oxford, CT.

Drive to NEBCO (About 35 mins) and also go to Amity Wine and Spirits around the corner. Should be able to get a good supply of East Coast beers between the two. NEBCO is only growlers at the brewery but worth getting some Ghandi Bot to drink while you're here. You may be able to get NEBCO cans at Amity too.

I was in there and saw a lot of the same stuff I can get on west coast. I did however see beer from Maine and some other Brewery's I haven't heard of. Wasn't sure if there good or not. I'm also looking for stuff I can cellar

Worldwide is a great package store right in southington. I would Che ck them out. Berkshire brewing company, Jack abbey, New England brewing company, Maine brewing company, Ithaca (flower power),Brooklyn (chocolate stout), otter creek, and six point make good beers.

Definitely grab a pack of New England Sea Hag IPA. If you like Pilsners i'd recommend New England Elm City Pilsner or Two Roads Ol' Factory. Tröegs just got to CT, and I know their Nugget Nectar is very popular (although I'm not crazy about it). Jack's Abby makes some awesome lagers, Smoke and Dagger is awesome black lager, and Hoponius Union is a really good IPL. Also, if you guys don't get Founders in CA, grab a Breakfast Stout, you could possibly find their Inperial Stout now as well. Lawson's Sip of Sunshine and New England Gandhi Bot are the current regular hard to get DIPAs that come out every now and then, where you have to ask at the store because they keep it in the back. Not sure when those would have came out around that location though. Also, if you are into the whole Triple IPA thing (I think they can be too sweet) Sixpoint Hi-Res is out now.

Some parts of CT are near Treehouse Brewing, it would be a shame to skip them if you are close.

If you somehow see Lawsons Sip Of Sunshine, grab it. Yes to NEBCO and Maine Beer Co. Citra Mantra and or Kind Ryed from Otter Creek.
