East Indianapolis current local draft recommendations

    I'll be outside of the city tomorrow for an event at Ft. Harrison State Park. Would like to stop afterward pick up some local or regional beer I can't get in Kentucky, but as I understand there's no retail selling of packaged beer in the state on Sundays though growler fills are permitted. (Is the last part correct?)

    Anything really great I may be able to get a pour of? I'm partial to abbey-styles, seasonals, also pale ales and moderate IPAs.

    I tentatively plan to stop at Sun King or The Bier Brewery, but I'm flexible as long as I don't have to cross the city.

    Good luck tomorrow. Sun King is closed on Sundays. Triton brewing is at Ft. Harrison and open 1-9. I like the vibe and their beer but the IPA is solid and the have great guest taps. Flat 12 is open as well. If you take 65 home stop at Oaken Barrel for their IPA. They changed the beer about a year ago and I think that is the best IPA here.

    You'll be all of 3 minutes away from Triton brewery. I'd suggest trying their 500 monks belgian Strong, Railsplitter IPA, and Sin Bin Belgian pale. If you send me a message chances are I'll be at the brewery. I'd highly recommend stopping by!

    Bier Brewery will have their Good Pils on and PDG pale which are both good. Both places are near each other. The beer Sellar is on 82nd street in castleton, close to Triton and currently has Jinx Proof and a few other Three Floyds beers on tap.

    Thanks for the heads-up on Sun King being closed. Bier Brewery's PDG Pale looks promising, though I might miss closing time there.

    Looks like I'll drive almost almost by Triton, so there's a good chance I'll come there. Would be in the late afternoon.

    Triton should have Papo's Puerto Rican Cravings Food truck there. It is pretty tasty.
