Eastern NC tasting group??

    I live in New Bern, so going to any of the larger cities in our state for tastings is asking a lot. I'll hang with buddies at releases and drink beers when we get together, but would like to either join or start a tasting group closer to my area. Anyone got any good leads or thoughts on this? The local bottle shop in New Bern may be a good place to start if there already isn't one, so I'll defer to you NC guys on any advice. Thanks!!
