Looking for someone in Eastern Canada who I can do regular trades with. Preferably after things that we don't get in the West, like HF, Prairie, Tired Hands, Bellwoods, DDC, etc.

Pretty in tune with the local scene, travel to the Island at least once a month so have access to stock / breweries there. I also travel to the US every few months, so I'm able to bring up stuff from OR and WA. This is a relatively up to date list of what I have around right now, there are probably a few things in the fridge I forgot to add though.

Obviously have access to all the BC breweries special editions, local growlers, as well as Cascade/Cantillon/Logsdon/Deschutes special editions, among many many others. Send me a message if anything in my cellar intrigues you and we can talk.

You probably want two trading partners - finding someone with ready access to HF and DDC isn't too difficult, and finding someone with access to Bellwoods probably isn't that tough either, but someone with access to both/all of these is going to be real tough to come by (in my opinion). Best of luck.

Thanks. I don't necessarily need someone with access to everything, but these are some of the breweries I'm interested in. Also American stuff like Kane, Heady, and BCBS, as well as a bunch of Founders brews.

Doesn't even have to be a regular thing, I'm open to just doing one-off trades.

I'm mostly after lambics and other sours, saisons, barrel aged stouts, and fresh IPAs (lowest priority)

Not sure if you are located in the lower mainland or not, but if so, we do now have most of the regular lineup of DDC available on shelves.

Yeah, I live right in Mount Pleasant, but I'm hoping for some special editions and other offerings from them.

    Thanks though!

We don't hve american beers in eastern Canada. Bellwoods beers are brewery only, so you better look for someone in Toronto for that.

As for DDC, i live by the brewery and I am well in touch with all the crew at the brewpub... Trou du diable is offering nice beers as well as Dunham in Quebec...

    Contact me if interested !

    Cheers

Not a bad spot to live!

TDD is now on our shelves here and we have most of their lineup (including La Bretteuse which I understand is hard to find out east) except for some of the barrel aged ones.

Too bad the TDD is ridiculously price inflated.

As Liam said, there are a lot of generous Quebec traders that regularly make it so VT and will trade HF, especially for some of the nice American stuff that you guys get in BC these days.

The other American stuff like Prairie and Tired Hands, you'll likely have to trade with people in the US to get that. Those of us in ON, PQ that have those have likely traded for it and don't have extra to go around, but you never know...

As for Bellwoods, it shouldn't be too hard to find someone from the Toronto area who would trade Bellwoods to you for some of the better BC releases.

    Good luck!

To be honest, when I checked on the prices back east they were not that inflated. TDD is just expensive.

100% agree. I honestly never bother with them anymore unless it's for trade material, because I just don't feel the quality justifies the price for that brewery. Their barrel-aged stuff is excellent, but not 20$+/bottle excellent. If it makes other people happy though, great! I'll stick to Le Castor or DDC.

Are they Canada's version of the Bruery? (albeit with lower quality). I didn't realize that...

I haven't had enough to say for sure, but they are one of the more expensive bottles on the shelves here hitting high $20's for their BA versions and low $20's for the regular. I heard that their prices jumped dramatically in recent years. I bought a couple (Bretteuse etc) just to try once.

Low $20s for non-BA beers is ridiculous.

Very true which is why I have only bought a couple to try once. DDC much cheaper.

And better! And like @ricochet173 said, don't forget Le Castor!! Oh yah, and Dunham who is making some pretty fantastic BA and non-BA beers.

But those are not on our shelves which is all that is important :stuck_out_tongue:

Sorry @kcherney for totally highjacking your thread....
