I saw the FB post about this. Im thinking doing the trek for the GOAT night but I want to make sure I come prepared for it.

Has anyone gone to the event before that might want to share their experiences? I heard you pay for the pours etc but a detailed description would be helpful.

Summation of my last 6 years experience:
Pouring stations are set up under small tents. although last year was one big one. Brewers and trusted volunteers pour. There is a small logo glass to use. You can use cash, or c.c. to buy tokens in various dollar -amounts at the gate. Mostly bottle pours. Not inexpensive. Some brewers may offer entire bottles for purchase to drink on-site. Very popular is to get some friends together to split bottles to make it affordable. Live music (usually eclectic) in the tent, and food is available inside the taproom, but not in the tent. Realistically, you'll spend at least $50 min. to do it justice. Free camping across the street for newbies, in the side yard for veterans. Great food inside, special taplist all week. Details may change, of course.

Is this the actual beerfest proper or the Night of the Great Thirst? This year they have a beer fest and the following night is the night of the great thirst. Looks like a really fun laid back event. Camping means more $$$ for beers. haha
