I have reservations at both of the following hotels for approximately the same costs ... Having never been to Boston can anyone make a recommendation? I'm assuming Seaport Hotel makes the most sense since its where the EBF is held and makes for a short walk, stumble, crawl back to the room ;-) BUt since we are there 4 nights I'd like the best choice. Seaport Hotel & World Trade Center or Renaissance Boston Waterfront Hotel Thanks
depends. Beacon Hill/Back Bay will give you better non EBF related stuff to do. or even staying in Cambridge. but those are cab or UberX rides away.
The Renaissance is not that much farther, just on the other side of the park. I have never been in the rooms of either hotel, the Seaport seems plain and staid, the Renaissance has a little gleam and sparkle along with a real coffee shop. As you walk up Congress St. towards Boston you will find additional food and coffee, Trillium brewing, and the Harpoon Beer Hall is a short walk away from the city on Northern Ave.
Im staying at the Downtown/ Faneuil Hall Hilton, is there anything around there within walking distance to do? Also it says its just under a mile to the venue, is it ok to walk or better get a cab?
Faneuil Hall is pretty much the tourist hub of Boston - Quincy Market has tons of shops and restaurants, and you're within walking distance of most hotspots on the Freedom Trail. As far as walking to the venue, it's definitely doable, but you can always catch a cab or take the subway. Out of curiosity, where in NC are you coming from? I'm in Raleigh (originally from Boston), and will be at Session B.
Thanks for the info! A buddy and I are coming from Winston and will be at Sessions A and B, Hope to see you there!
We're staying at the Courtyard Boston Downtown. It'll be our first time in Boston. Anyone have experience with this hotel or have recommendations of things to see/places to eat? Cheers!
that's pretty central basically any restuarant or bar in Back Bay/South End/Beacon Hill/Downtown is an easy walk away
