I have couple comments about this years batch and have only try a couple
First off : How much is the average price? The only store I know of in the los angeles area has them at $30 plus tax. This seems kind of high as I notice lot of people say they are only $20.

Second off: Which ones are the best? I have had the Rittenhouse Rye and Elijah craig previously but at that price want to buy the good ones

$30 is right. Major question here: is it worth $30?

I saw the Library Alehouse is having an event tonight, with a few different variations I believe. I'd say try some then decide for yourself

Agreed on buying the good ones. Although they have all been good in the past some where better. They are $30 here in Colorado. I really liked the 12 and 18 year last year. Would be interested in what others are saying about this years too.

C12 was best for me last year, so it's what i got this year.

They are a bit cheaper if you buy via futures, more like $24 than $30. I've heard mixed things about which ones are the best, I believe people were saying that Old Fitz is really good out of the bottle. The corn and wheat ones are interesting, but I can see not wanting to spend $30 for what's basically a novelty. I think this year's EC12 is largely comparable to last year's, so if you liked that one you'll almost certainly like this one.

They were between $20-$28 at most retailers last year.
They seem to have gone up this year, and even though I enjoy them, I will be passing on them this year.

My favorite from last year was the Grand Cru, which most people would disagree with.

I have a bottle reserved that I am picking up tomorrow. $28. It's the corn version. Probably not worth it, but hard to put a price on the hunt, the find, and the experience of trying/sharing something strange/unique/new, etc.

Last year retail was actually pretty much the same. The only way to get them for $20ish was to buy the futures directly from the brewery in advance.

They were $20-$22 via futures, plus shipping. Stores here are selling for $29+. I had to get them all this year. The ones I have had from previous years were delicious, and it is going to be interesting to taste this year's versions side by side. Intrigued by corn version, but the Old Fitz and EC12 are probably most reliable.

Just picked up the corn variation last night. Would anyone recommend the rye? The store also had that one

~$34 in Chi... not really worth it. Tried the 4 Roses, have the EC18 still in the cellar. Great stuff, but not $34 spectacular.

Is it just the Eclipse that makes it to those states? Aren't they from Cali? Why is NJ the only state with full distribution?

Did a tasting with a few 2011 varieties. Four Roses was my least favorite. EC 18 was best of the bunch.
