I was lucky enough to try 6 of this years version and 2 from last year on a tasting my local shop had. They were all very good but my favorite was OF and EC. $27- 30.99

I've only had 2012 variations on tap at the release party and have yet to crack a '12 bottle since coming home with this year's haul. On tap, I enjoyed everything until my palate was shot from too many beers.

For me, the price is pushing the limit on what I'll pay for a good BA stout. I'll definitely be decreasing amount spent on futures next year.

Ok good, maybe I won't totally regret the $70 blown once I try EC18.

One of the best -bal stouts IMO, so yes. Guess what? You can likely finish a bottle by yourself as well

Totally agree, fantastic barrel-aged stouts. I really like that the beers aren't overwhelmed by 14% ABV, although those can certainly be great too. Can't wait to try them.

I had the Elijah 12 and 20. I didn't enjoy the aftertaste from especially the 12yr. The unaged stout is, meh. I love stout and especially bourbon barrel aged beer, but not into this one. I think the 20 is at least, interesting.

The 2012 Elijah 12 had a bitterness that I haven't tasted in other barrel aged stouts. I like hoppy and roasted bitterness, but this had to do with the treatment of the wood, I think. The 12 was on tap and the 20 was from a bottle. I found the 20 to be good, but a bit too sweet for my taste.

This has nothing to do with the EC 20, but the barrel aging stood out way more in the 12.

27.99 in my city but they only have Old Fitz. I've decided to just wait it out and see if they get the Elijah Craig versions.

I have had the Elijah Craig, Evan Williams, and the Old Fitzgerald. I prefer the EW. (black wax) They are definitely worth the 30 bucks if you like barrel aged stouts. (BTW I also can get plenty of these, PM me for deets.)

Wish these made it to nw Indiana? Does binnys get these? I know lush had them last year but after taxes they were close to $40. Oh well, I guess that is just another reason to keep flying out to the party.

At the brewery the bottles are anywhere between 22.95-32.95, for the grand cru.

I grabbed the EC12... I reckon on sitting on it for a couple years.
