Eclipse in Chicago (or Suburbs)

    I'm going to be in Chicago soon and was wondering if anyone has recently seen any of the 5050 Eclipse variations on the shelves anywhere. I'm hoping the high price might have left a couple sitting for me to pick up to try.

    last time I saw it was at the Binny's in Glen Ellyn (Roosevelt Road). They had all varieties a few months ago, and recently when I stopped in they had a few bottles left.

    For some reason I thought the Chicago-area got some... I could be completely off though. I don't remember where I heard that, but for some reason I've always had it in my mind that you guys got some.

    Ya know Lush does charge a premium, but I respect that. Rare sat there for a while, and I even passed up paying 48 for it, because I thought that was too much...well shit I'd pay $70 now.

    Yes, it came here maybe 4 months back. Most places have been cleaned out, but you will find some at a few places still. I haven't really seen any in the NW burbs in a while.

    LUSH in Roscoe has/had it as of last week. $35/bottle.

    Thanks all. Looks like I may check out LUSH. It sounds like they tend to have stuff for a little longer than other places, but at slightly higher prices. I'll see what I can find there.

    That is a pretty fair price. They were $30 in San Francisco.

    Chicago definitely got Eclipse, although it probably got snapped up pretty quick in the downtown stores, the Binny's in Hyde Park had bottles of 12 and 18 up until the last few weeks but I'm pretty sure they've run out by now

    Yes on counter at Lush on Roscoe as of 15 minutes ago.
    Last time around they sat there for months on end, or could be same bottles?
    Manager holds bottles for me, let me know if you want me to arrange anything ahead of time as I live around the corner.

    You could get them for a bit cheaper than that. Healthy Spirits, at least, topped out at $28.99 for the Grand Cru and went as cheap as $25 for the more common varieties. They still have a few, too.
