Last year, a sizable group continued to bottle share at the hotel after the party.

Have a spare 3 liter of Rittenhouse Rye BART from the 5th anniversary event a couple years back. Anyone interested in a trade? Ideally I'd like to trade it for one of the upcoming Eclipse 3 liters.

I apologize for veering the topic away from the release-party-only bottle, but it got me thinking about Coffee Eclipse. This was the blend that was party-only last year, right? I see that it's listed in the normal distribution lineup now, but heard that it may actually be brewery only. Does anyone know which is true?

 

Yes, Coffee Eclipse was the party-only release last year. This year, they mention a "Java" Eclipse as one of the available bottles. I'll assume that being called Java, it's similar to the Coffee but a different variation. Maybe Todd will weigh in on this.

 

Everyone traveling to the party be sure to monitor the weather. Possibility of snow Tues/Weds but so far only predicting a few inches.

 

Anyone still ISO a ticket? Looks like I have an extra.

I fly in Wed morning to Reno and we're getting some weather here in MN that morning and in Denver where I transfer so fingers crossed on all that.

Since I have been getting many messages wondering what happened at City Beer, here is an account from one of those who witnessed his (HaveUSeenMyCellar) actions:

"I was at the GI event at City Beer on Thursday, was number 8 in line when I got there. That guy in XXXXXXXX's picture (talking to the cop car) walked up to the front of the line while talking to some GI reps and started sharing some beers with the first 5-6 guys. He stayed there until the end and ended up with a bottle of rare.... I, and the people behind me, were pretty pissed."
