Does anyone know which brand of rum barrel was used?

Just to make it easier to read it (and weep), here is a better pic of the bottle list for the Vertical Tasting:

Pics from the Eclipse Release Party – December 5, 2013

Brunch at Squeeze In on the main drag of Old Truckee. It was fantastic food – and a good base for the party – but man were we stuffed!

Here is how the bar looked with the Eclipse rainbow, some large format Jeroboams looming, and bottles of the spirits whose barrels provide a good home for the base beer

The Eclipse Elves were very busy all night – filling bottle orders and pouring drafts like crazy!

A few glamour shots of the reason for the gathering

The side bar added for the party was a hot spot for sure – vintage Eclipse kegs, rarities, one-offs, and new barrel aging projects with Old Curmudgeon and others, were flowing all night

The Brews Brothers kept us entertained much of the evening and shared several great bottles, including Goose Island Gillian and Halia. I think Rau71 is on the left from a comment about losing his Cucumber Saison, but I hope people speak up and identify themselves.

They didn’t like this shirt, however, because the beer on it looked weak!

    Part 2.

Nick – who made it to both the Vertical Tasting and the Release Party – gave his own party shirt a thumbs up and then ramped up the bottle sharing in our corner with some Hill Farmstead and Jacki-O’s goodness (among others)

Amazingly, we were still able to find our balance for this shot

My buddy Mikey checked to see if my bottle of Framboise for a Cure smelled as divine as it did on tap – and it did!

I wish I had taken more pics of the Epic bottle sharing going on, but the evening got away from me, as they say. I also wish I took pics of the outdoor patio in sub-zero weather where people kept warm by huddling around a few heat lamps, smoking, and of course drinking. The only record I have of the late night bottle sharing back at the hotel next door with a great group of people was this shot of a San Jose BA who won the raffle to brew with Todd and Alyssa along with his brother/buddy (forgot your names/handles!) who was awesome even though he was trying to shut us out of the little Whale Room hidden behind closed doors (just kidding)

It was an amazing couple of days and I hope to meet more of the crew next time. I wanted to mention that Heather and the distributor crew were great fun, that all the folks at the hotel were generous and very entertaining after the party, and that Mark and Josh from Sierra Nevada are truly stand-up guys for holding onto my beloved bottle opener (a gift) and my buddy’s bottles of BCBS and Beatification and returned them in the morning – thanks again guys, you rock!

The last shots are of the booty we each took home for ourselves and a group of lucky friends

Cheers to Fifty-Fifty and to all the BAs and others who attended and made it a blast!

It's possible that they just ran through that weeks allocation to sell. Everything was avail except makers mark, high west rye, and java
