Ok, so we're getting down to the wire. It's raining here right now pretty heavy at the moment. Looks like rain all day(Wed). Thursday it will clear up and be quite cold over night. Which leads me to a warning about overnight temperatures. It's looking like it going to get down to 23-24F early Friday morning. I HIGHLY recommend not leaving beer in your car unless you have a insulated cooler or similar to protect it from freezing. The wax on Eclipse bottles makes the bottom of the bottle the path of least resistance. Beer expands when frozen and something has to give. We will be filling the futures orders, and sales from night before Friday morning. It's too dark, cold and most likely icy outside the brewery to effectively deal with Thursday night. We appreciate your understanding.

See you all up here Thursday evening. Should be fun with some great beer. It's looking like 18 taps dedicated to our barrel aging program and 6 for non barrel aged stuff!

Was this the first time that was announced? What time Friday morning?

Its tough to understand when this change in policy appears to have been announced the day before the party. I have (had?) plans (skiing, non refundable lift ticket) Friday morning, day and evening (xmas tree lighting in Fallon). Figured I would just be picking up my beer from the party Thursday night, just like the last two years. . .

If its gotta be Friday, you guys should open super early Friday so I can pick up and get up on the slopes ASAP. Otherwise I gotta shuffle my plans, which is gonna cost/waste $$$ on my end.

Directly from the e-mail sent out Monday: "FUTURES: For those of you who purchased Futures, we will NOT be filling any Futures orders during the party. I think we all learned our lesson last year on the logistical nightmare of dark, freezing cold, and a lot of beer consumption. For party-goers, Futures will be available for pick-up between 11am and 2pm on Thursday, and then beginning again at 11am on Friday (bolding mine)."

This has caused a minor panic in my group as well, we are flying up tomorrow morning and should be there in plenty of time, but with the unpredictable weather and traffic who knows. We are also looking to get an early start Friday. I suppose I understand the reasoning, and I'm maintaining optimism everything will work out.

    Directly from fiftyfiftybrewing.com:

"Can I pick up futures at the party?"
    • Absolutely. Attendees with reserved futures may pick them up at the party. If your friends have futures but did not receive party tickets, you can grab their futures as well (with their permission, of course). Any ticket holders who have reserved futures may pick theirs up at the party. Either way, bring the certificates!

Not a huge deal to me, as I should be able to work it out to grab them either Thursday or Friday, but I will say that I never received this e-mail that was sent out on Monday.

I'm in the same boat as well. Not sure if I'll be able to make it up to Truckee by 2pm tomorrow. I have to leave before 9am Friday morning to make it down to San Jose for a 1pm appointment. Pretty bummed that I might have to have my futures shipped even though I'm all the way up there for the party.

Can't decide on a few bottles, so I've decided to bring more than enough. LeBleu, 2008 Dissident, 2004 Iris, T25, some Enjoy By for a hop fix, amongst others. Looking forward to tomorrow evening!

Looks like I am going to bring a Beat, FftC, and maybe something else, not sure. I don't have much sours hanging around, and I just don't think bringing a Stout would help...

Ok folks...final comment from me in regards to the party. I didn't want to annouce anything until we knew what we had stashed away along time ago was still in good shape.

We will be pouring 2007 Old Fitz, Eclipse and 2008 PVW Eclispe and other vintages. The quality of beer that came from these two kegs...perfect. Haven't had these...? You're in for treat. 5 gallons each///when gone it's gone!

My tolerance is pretty low lately, and I'm a VERY friendly, grabby drunk. I apologize to everyone in advance. See you all in a few hours.

Oh man, let's do this! Hopefully people limit the pours so that we can all try some.

Yep, just thought about it. Plust, everybody would have to swarm the kegs first too. I always over worry, as we may arrive a little late today.

True. But if people get the full 10-ounce pours in the Eclipse Snifter there is only about 68 pours. And I know probably several will get full pours starting out.
