I won't go out of my way for this, but I'll try it if I see it. Looking forward to the reviews.

If it was a DFH beer it would have real asteroid in it.

Seems like it'll be an IPA/witbier hybrid almost with the coriander and wheat. I'll be interested to try.

Golfers will know what I mean when I say Stone is the equivalent of Taylormade. Hahah, I love Stone and I play Taylormades. But it's true.

I thought he was being sarcastic, I could be wrong though. Harpoon, Saranac, Blue Point, Sweetwater etc. All have White IPAs. Not the most common variation, but there's plenty out there.

You've need to drink more IPAs if you think every brewery is good at them. Man I've had some seriously lackluster IPAs over the past few months.

I'd say that's quite a slight on Stone. It's not like they're releasing gimmicky (excuse the terrible crossover) white bottles and dropping the price 2 months later when they release the TP White Bottle!!

I stopped chasing TM products a long time ago. If I do go TM, I shop, wait 3 months later and save $200.

Brewed IN Portland? Will Stone brew a batch too? Either way doesn't sound like my cup of tea.

Prob pass if it's $10 like their other one offs down here. For $7 I might be in. The grapefruit slam seems more my style.

There's a boatload more as well. I'm just too lazy to grab the list. Even Sierra Nevada's new hop variety pack has one, I believe.

The ratings on this site indicate otherwise. You have to go pretty deep into the list to find a below average IPA.

Yeah even Samuel Adams also has a White IPA. I was just mentioning the ones that I thought were pretty good. Stone seems to be flooding the market recently. I guess the Beer Wars is still going strong.

Works for me. I just wish the increased competition would drive prices DOWN instead of UP.

I guess the new tactic.. Monopolize your offerings. If you want a quality product, dammit you gotta pay!

Sweetwater's Whiplash White IPA is fantastic.

This is exactly how I feel about this release. I just picked up the grapefruit slam but have yet to crack it.

It's a good beer, but if you're looking for a hefty dose of grapefruit, it's sadly absent. Only notice a bit of it on the backend (at least from what I had).

To clarify, this is an Ecliptic Beer, not a Stone beer. We collaborated on the recipe with John Harris, and together we brewed it in his brewery last month (but John did most of the work), and John managed the fermentation and everything else.
