I managed to find this today in West Michigan after searching for a week. Actually came in to a reputable store about 5 minutes before I showed up (stopped by around 3:15 after work). The owner had opened the case as it hadn't even been unpackaged or entered into the system yet. Just want to thank the owner for taking the time to enter it into the POS system so he could sell it to me. I'm hoping I'm going to enjoy this one as much as I anticipate, as it sounds like a complete flavor bomb with a few styles, some barrel flavor etc...

Had one. Interesting in a good way. They did it--hoppy DIPA meets Belgian triple. The barrel is very subtle--softens it all a bit.

A lot going on. Someone had to do it but not.....sure.....why.

    Worth one bottle or pour.

Has anyone seen this in Michigan yet? I've been looking Southeast Michigan but haven't been able to find it in my usual spots

A little disappointed in this one, honestly. After reading the description and after having high hopes that Wicked Weed's involvement would help achieve a miracle, I think it is just a perfectly okay and not much else.

I agree, all I got from it was banana, banana, banana, banana.

I agree with both of these. Surfcaster summarized my taste perfectly, but yet, I was a little disappointed. I think that I had such high hopes after trying a Belgian DIPA from a local Rock Bottom. You could take the yeast a little more and had a sweeter taste.

Still, I like the concept of a DIPA and Triple mix and hope to have more beers come out. This is definitely worth one bottle or glass...Love that Stone has it's base awesome beers and keeps pushing the envelope with these type of beers. Some work and some won't.

See my post a few up from yours. It hit West Michigan (specifically, Rishis in Grand Rapids) Tuesday. If you aren't already finding it on the east side of the state, I'd imagine you will be soon. I'm not sure what it cost either FWIW (not that I care about pricing with the exception of the $9.00 a bottle KBS crap...), as I bought a bottle of Points Unknown and a 6 pack of Fresh Squeezed IPA and it was $24.00 out the door I believe...

I haven't yet cracked it, as I want to do so this weekend when I have plenty of free time to enjoy this among other good ones.

Hit Oakland county yesterday. I picked up a bottle while grocery shopping today and can't wait to try this one over the holiday weekend.

    Seems to be $7.99 -$8.99

It's at the store I frequent but I have reservations just from reading, it just isn't very inviting.

Very tasty. Bottled on 4/29/15. Beautiful color. Mellow aroma for a IIPA. I'm not getting the over bearing banana some speak of. It's a sipper. As with most collaborations it won't be around long. Definitely worth a try.

    Revisited this one.

I just don't feel it "comes together" enough for me. The flavors are all there and are appealing. It is like someone mixed them together (then did) but they somehow stay separate in the glass as opposed to a seamless beer.

    Hard to put into words.

had this on tap at the corner pug in west hartford.

have to say, not bad at all. the description had me *very* wary, but the barrels and the small amount of tripel actually enhanced the beer. very hood overall balance. huh.

    would have again, honestly.

IMO, this was a great beer that perfectly balanced a barrel aged tripel with an IPA. Thought the blend was right on the money. Awesome collaboration !!!

The tequila barrel ruined it for me...great flavor up front, but the back end had that classic oily dirt taste that I associate with tequila. For, me it just didn't work well with this style of beer, but I cant really think of any other styles in which it would.
