Ecliptic/Wicked Weed/Stone - Points Unknown IPA

    look: 4.25 | smell: 3.75 | taste: 3.75 | feel: 4.5 | overall: 4

    Poured into an English Pint. The head was an impressive 2-3 fingers and the lacing was great. Color was an odd yellow, I guess due to the addition of the tripel. I don't want to lower my look score because of it because it is such an original beer style, but I'm going to take a little off. Smell is strong of Belgian candi; it's also citrusy/pineapple, resiny, and east coast hoppy. Taste and mouth feel remind me of Lagunitas Brown Shugga. Sweet and super frothy candi with a mild carmel malt. The hop profile is complex, like the smell, its a combo of piney, citrusy, and east coast bitter hops. Very interesting.

    i completely agree i really was hoping for both more hops and barrel notes. i liked it but i just felt it was missing something
