Edgestar 5L non-pressurized MiniKeg "Overpressure"

    So I tapped my first non-pressurized 5L Minikeg on the Edgestar mini-kegerator. Despite some negative reviews I've seen the thing working great...sort of.

    Problem: It continues to pressurize after I pour the beer and even if I "shut off the CO2". It drops as I pour the beer, but the pressure is so great the beer is literally shooting out of the tap and then starts to build up again. I removed the CO2 cartridge and that stopped it from pressurizing, but so long as the CO2 cartridge is attached it pressurizes even if I shut off the pressure.

    Help please.

    It pressurizes even if you shut off the pressure. I am not a mechanic but it sounds like it doesn't work as designed. I would see about exchanging it from where you bought it or contacting Edgestar for advice or warranty replacement.
