Edmunds Oast

Went yesterday and as a beer geek and as someone who's worked in restaurants and bars I'll say that they nailed every detail. Service was attentive but not intrusive, the food was flawless, and the beer list speaks for itself. The bar stools were comfy, the bar itself was great (sanded but not lacquered, gave a very nice textural feel), top of the line glasses etc. Also tried 2 of their house beers (currently made at Westbrook I believe) and they were very good. I'm sure we'll see a lot of cool stuff from them once they get their own brewhouse fired up.

In fact the only thing I'd describe as odd was seeing Rich and Scott in suit jackets. Other than that I can't think of a single criticism, and Scott said they consider it a "work in progress" so that tells you how high they've set the bar.

 

I missed the Cantillon. I hate myself.
