    I just got two on at bells general store for 16.99. Their bulk hops are ridiculously cheap also.

    Pyrex brand? I heard the off-brands have a tendency to chip around the mouth.
    If so thats a great deal!

    Boonedog, thanks for the heads up. Do you know if the bottom is flat?

    I bought a 2L at my LHBS for about $20 and didn't realize the bottom is slightly convex so my stir bar has a hard time staying in place. Maybe it's just that my magnets are not strong enough.

    Not sure of the brand. I'm an idiot and usually break them every couple weeks while doing starters. When I buy a 5l for my lagers ill put it in a protective box with a state police protective service.
