Hey guys, my Father with be traveling to DAF in Eindhoven next week along with a coworker. He plans to go to the Mitra store there to look for bottles to bring home. Other than the big names, already on his radar, are there a couple local gems that we haven't heard of worth looking for? Secondly, anyone have a favorite bar/ restaurant that has great food and local brews that I can suggest to him? Finally, he might be willing to carry some bottle over there as well if there is an interest in an IP trade. Crooked Stave Reserve, HotD, Lost Abbey BA beers, Cascade are some options. hi, they should defenitely pay a visit to the Mitra shop. Note that Mitra is a liqor shop chain and 'van Bergen' is the only one with a large amount of beers. Check out http://vanmolleindhoven.nl, it's a brewpub worth a visit.
Definitely van Moll! A nice atmosphere, great beers, good, local, food to go with it. Apart from that, de Bierprofessor has a large list of Belgian beers. It's not a very good bar to sit however. They have about 200 beers, mostly from Belgium, but it's a very narrow and small bar.
