So after getting shutout at Kuhnhenns yesterday I started to wonder. How does one go about making an Eisbock? I know it's probably to advanced for me right now being a newb but would like some info for future reference. Thanks!

Freeze, remove ice, repeat. Preferably you have a freezer that has nothing else in it. The freezing vessel has an open top but easily covered. Valve at bottom(keggle's are ideal) to drain after 'icing'. Most important to handle beer gently during all steps to prevent oxidation. I prefer to 'ice' the beer 3 to 4 times. Experimentation will show you what method is best for your set up. Taste often to see where your beer is headed. Thicker and stronger aren't always the best IMHO.

Generally speaking, you begin with a Dopplebock and freeze distill from there (as mentioned above)
